Sometimes you just don’t have enough time to make it down to the hotel gym. Case in point: we had some early morning (well, early for a vacation) educational seminars to attend on the topic of collector automobiles and this didn’t leave much time to get down to the gym. Given where the gym is located, elevator guest congestion and whatnot, it was most efficient to stay in the room and put together a workout that was quick and efficient.

Fortunately, we often travel with an elastic resistance band in our suitcase. This allowed me to include a variety of exercises into my in-room workout including bicep curls, shoulder press, tricep kick backs, and abdominal twists by wrapping the band around the room’s door handle.
In addition to the resistance band routine, the workout consisted of simple sit-ups, push-ups, plank and other body-weight exercises.
Efficient. Productive.
